22nd Street & Sarnoff (Our Location) SCOPE OF WORK You will be trained to work in our ILC (Integrated Learning Center) as a tutor, and as a teacher assistant in our classes.
You will tutor/support individual students, and work with small groups on various high school subjects including:
English, Science, Math and History.
We will try to use you in the subject that you are most comfortable in but you must be willing/able to tutor or support teachers in all academic core areas.
You will support our students in post-secondary readiness.
OUR ASSISTANTS Demonstrate respect for adolescents and know how to challenge them appropriately.
Possess a sense of humor and social vision grounded in tolerance and equality.
Move students toward adulthood by modeling positive adult roles.
Help to maintain a fun and interactive classroom.
Communicate appropriately and professionally with fellow staff.
Implement activities to support exploration, and learning.
Commit to continuing education.
