Sierra Tucson, a world renowned residential treatment center, is seeking a full time Eating Recovery Technician, to work at our beautiful campus in Tucson Arizona.
Shift:

Qualifications:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor's degree in dietary field or in the process of completing either a Dietary degree, Social Work degree or related health field preferred.
Basic cooking skills required.
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.

Responsibilities:
PURPOSE STATEMENT:
Monitor, educate and assist residents in gaining the skills needed to manage eating disorders.
Essential Functions:
Provide direction and monitoring of meal plans to include the exchange system, my plate or following registered dietitian orders.
Plan and conduct nutrition intervention/education programs as needed.
Monitor and record patient weight, height, BMI and development for each age group as needed.
Provide mealtime support for patient and monitor and document patient meal consumption.
Review production schedule to determine food requirements, including variety and quantity of food, for preparation into sample supplies and equipment needed for cooking activities.
Supervise residents during a demonstration of how to prepare to ensure meal plan compliance.
May conduct cooking classes with residents.
Maintain a clean, sanitary demonstration kitchen, making special arrangements for special diets and ensuring proper requirements are met within facility aggravation complaint standard (Joint Commission).
Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always.
When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints.
Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
