We are currently recruiting for an Intermediate Piping Engineer to join our Tucson office.
About the RoleoDeliver piping engineering design in line with project requirements and Ausenco's engineering standards.
oPerform and verify hydraulic calculations for pumped and gravity flow systems.
oCommunicate with engineers from other disciplines to ensure design will be delivered according to project budget and schedules.
oAssist with project planning and recommend improvements to the design process.
oAssist designers in the production of project design drawings by providing technical assistance and reviewing drawings in a timely manner.
oGuide designers in best practise for piping layout, and participation multidiscipline layout reviews.
oDevelop piping and valve material standards and engineering specifications.
oInput, review and incorporate vendor data to produce IFC level P&ID's.
oProduce purchasing documents including datasheets, scopes of work, MTO's and lists for procurement of bulk pipe, fitting and valves.
oFacilitate the purchase of bulk pipe, fitting and valves by creating data sheets, scopes or work, technical specifications, MTOs and lists, evaluating and conforming multiple tenderers, and assisting procurement with the purchase of the materials.
About You Undergraduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years' work experience in the U.
S.
and a P.
E.
in the state of Arizona 7-10 years' piping design experience in a relevant industry, e.
g.
mining, mineral processing, with at least 3-5 years in copper concentrator design.
oKnowledge of slurry handling and rubber lined pipe designoAbility to resolve most technical issues in an efficient manner with some guidance.
oExcellent communication skills (written and oral).
oStrong analytical skills.
oExtensive experience with ASME B31.
