Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, project managers, and field technicians, to integrate control systems with existing infrastructure and equipment. Networks:
We help our clients build redundant, long-haul, high-capacity data networks via a variety of technologies that are used for both business/IT needs as well as the day-to-day operational needs that keep the lights on. Renewable Energy:
With the expansion of renewable energy technologies, our team works to connect these assets to electric grid infrastructure to provide critical communications for the local utility and system operator in areas such as offshore wind, solar photovoltaic (PV), hydroelectric power, and battery storage. Private LTE:
We are supporting development of entirely private carrier-grade networks for electric utilities, unlocking new capabilities to monitor and manage the grid and ultimately better serve customers. Private LTE is one application of many within our wireless portfolio. Fiber:
Fiber optic infrastructure is one of the fastest ways that utilities transmit high-bandwidth data, and our team is helping to expand that infrastructure from their core networks all the way to customer homes. Job Duties Conduct detailed analysis and testing of control systems to ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and performance requirements. Assist and or Lead with project deliverables such as:
bill of materials, specifications, yard layouts, equipment plans, sections and details, wiring diagrams, control building arrangements, DC calculations, cable lists, SCADA points lists, device configuration files, network architecture diagrams, channel plans, RF path studies, and cutover plans. Assist and or Lead in executing complex assignments requiring the use of advanced tools and techniques, resulting in the development of new or improved processes, equipment, and/or technological methods. Identify, communicate, and assist in resolving project issues as needed. Adhere to established project schedule to meet deadlines. Work closely with the client project teams to ensure deliverables and services are being provided to client standards and that projects are following internal QA/QC guidelines. Working in office and field service environments. On-site in Tucson multiple days each week. Other duties as assigned. Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related degree from an ABET-accredited program and 3 years of electrical engineering experience, consulting preferred. Or Bachelor of Science in Electrical or related Engineering Technology from an ABET-accredited program and successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and 3 years of electrical engineering experience, consulting preferred. Master of Science degree in Engineering may be substituted for one year of experience. Previous internship and/or related experience preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong ability to work within a team. Basic knowledge of power systems in electric utilities. Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, client facing skills and problem-solving skills. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring future sponsorship for employment visa status.
