Senior Accountant, Audit at PSI in Remote
Your contributions -Gather all deliverables for PSI's consolidated, single, and global funder audits, from field offices and HQ, review for completeness and accuracy, provide them to auditors, answer questions, track the status of open deliverables, escalate as needed. 55% of Time -Monitor the Audit mailbox and collaborate with field and HQ staff to answer inquiries, provide documents, and offer guidance to implement new accounting standards and to streamline audit processes. 15% of Time -Review engagement letters, management letters, compile management responses to audit findings, and update monitoring database. 10% of Time -Assist in preparing schedules for Form 990 and 990T, and prepare annual submission to Federal Audit Clearinghouse. 10% of Time -Support the Senior Accountant Financial Reporting to learn the role and serve as a backup. 5% of Time -Perform other duties or special projects as assigned. 5% of Time Time percentages listed above are not exact. They are estimates and may change. What are we looking for? -Bachelor's Degree (or international equivalent) in Accounting or Finance -CPA preferred -At least 7 years of accounting experience. Equivalent combination of related education and experience may be substituted. -At least 2 years of Public Accounting experience in an audit firm (as part of the overall 7 years of experience) preferred -In-depth knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and donor financial and accounting requirements and regulations. -In-depth knowledge of ERP, inventory and accounting systems, preferably Infor/Lawson. Solid knowledge of SharePoint preferred. -Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills. French and/or Spanish language skills preferred. -Proficient in MS Office Suite with advanced Excel skills required (e.g., advanced skills with pivot tables, vlookups, sumifs and other formulas). -Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and with cross-functional teams across various time zones globally. -Excellent training and mentoring skills. -Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
