Join us.DescriptionThis exciting opportunity will place you in a crucial role in Caterpillars delivery of Autonomous and Site Solutions to our largest mining customers. This position is for an Automation Senior Project Team Lead serving as the L8e Validation Lead within the Autonomy & Automation System Integration & Validation group. This individual will provide L8e Validation Leadership for the a range of NPI programs within the A&A portfolio. This role includes opportunity to provide internally facing team leadership to our integration & validation team members based in Illinois, Arizona, Canada, and Cat India as well as serving as a key point of contact with A&A partner development teams and our internal client, Mining Solutions.The individual will lead team members, set the system integration & validation strategy, and represent the Product Quality swimlane for the associated NPI programs. Outstanding technical, coordination, and communication skills are must for this position.Job DutiesLead NPI Product Quality swimlane activities including Validation planning and status reporting.Manage priorities for integration & validation team members from setting major release strategy down to day-to-day coordination in daily huddles.Lead issue management process between the integration & validation team, the system development groups, and product support.Lead a culture of continuous improvement through issue retrospectives and communication in monthly Quality Council and other related forums.Engage with Customers, Cat dealers, and Mining Solutions team members through periodic product demonstrations virtual and in person.Basic QualificationsBachelors degree (or equivalent) in an accredited Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent technical field8
years of relevant engineering work experience involving Caterpillars MineStar suite of products (MineStar Office & MineStar onboard platforms) in a development, validation, or product support role.Top Candidates will also haveOutstanding teamwork, communication, analysis, and troubleshooting skills are required.The individual should be a self-starter, highly motivated, able to learn at an accelerated pace, and willing to put in the time to get the job done.Have a general understanding of ICS (A&A) organization, components, and processesDemonstrated experience and technical knowledge of the relevant A&A productsHave some heavy equipment and mining application experienceExperience with Agile software development, including application of workflow tools (ex. Target Process, Azure DevOps, and/or Jira)Experience with integration & validation deliverables, including application of workflow tools (ex.
