As UA's Technical Writer II, you will write and edit technical publications for the company's advanced avionics systems by working with company personnel, including engineers and subject matter experts, to ensure the technical accuracy of all publications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
Write, edit, and review various technical publications using company templates and tools.
Use illustration software to support the development of technical publications.
Use company-selected lifecycle management software programs to locate the information needed to write and edit technical publications.
Support the technical writing process by working with company personnel, including engineers and subject matter experts, to obtain information needed to write and edit technical publications.
Coordinate and perform on-equipment evaluations, including testing, operating, disassembling, and assembling Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) and avionics systems to validate technical publications.
Learn about and use the company Business Management System (BMS) to apply company and department processes effectively.
Demonstrate an understanding of industry terminology.

Education and/or Experience An Associate's degree in Technical Writing, Communication, or STEM and two (2) years' experience with documentation, publications, training content development, or content management in a high-tech environment and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
Aviation maintenance and/or pilot experience is preferred.
S1000D experience is preferred.
2D/3D CAD tools experience is preferred.
Computer Skills Proficient with a personal computer and the ability to type accurately.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Microsoft Word.
Proficient with version control tools and configuration management tools.
Experience using SharePoint and Polarion is a plus.
A strong aptitude for acquiring competency in new tools is essential.
Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret requirements and documents.
Strong editing and writing skills.
Ability to effectively prepare and present information to varied audiences.
Strong written and oral communication skills, including English fluency.
Mathematical Skills Ability to apply basic concepts and applications of arithmetic, algebra, and statistics to calculate, interpret, and present quality materials.
Reasoning Ability Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to think critically to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited information exists.
Work Environment Usual office environment.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
