The Technician role is a very important role at the company as it completes the repairs and services that the sales team sells.
In addition to actually producing the work sold on customer vehicles, this role also performs the vital task of inspecting vehicles to find repairs and services that are needed on a customers vehicles which the sales team will sell to customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):
Perform routine automotive maintenance Able to diagnose and repair automotive systems, including engines, steering, brakes, suspension, transmission, air conditioning, etc.
Completes service and repair assignments efficiently, safely, and correctly.
Estimating parts, labor, along with other components to perform services Comply with company safety policies and procedures Communicate directly with service advisors regarding the status of the service work Continuously learn new technical information and techniques Maintain equipment and tools in good condition Keep work area clean Performing a thorough digital inspection on every car, including pictures and notes.
Completes service and inspection assignments efficiently, safely, and correctly.
After repairs are made, test-drive the vehicle to verify repairs are properly done Minimum Requirements:
Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods.
Must pass a background check, physical, and drug test.
Current and valid Driver's License A minimum of 40 hours of industry-specific training Sufficient tools to perform automotive services and electrical repairs.
Proactive self-starter with a willingness to help support the success of the team and the Company.
Ability to read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
Ability to effectively communicate in English, both in written and verbal form, with all levels of the organization.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form Education &
Experience:
High school diploma or GED Mechanic Certificate (ASEs) preferred Previous automotive and or customer service experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms, speak and hear, sit and use hands to handle tools; the employee is required to walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch; the employee must lift and/or move objects in excess of 50 lb.
