High School Biology Teacher for 2023-2024 FLSA:
Exempt Classification:
Full-Time 10 months Summary of Duties and
Responsibilities:
Plan academic lessons Promote learning and ensure safety Manage classroom environment Work closely with students, families, staff, teachers and administration to support the mission of the school and ensure student success Desire to participate in a Professional Learning Community (TM) Experience with Problem Based Learning as a method of teaching Attend faculty and department meetings as well as professional development sessions Willingness to participate in programs that support and encourage the mission of the catholic church and the faith and spiritual growth of the students and oneself
Qualifications:
Current State Teaching certificate in Biology Ability to work in a collaborative environment High School Teaching experience required Proof of Immunizations against Rubeola and Rubella Special Considerations:
Salpointe Catholic High School is located in sunny Tucson, Arizona just 5 minutes from the University of Arizona.
We are a co-educational, college prep high school with approximately 1200 students.
