Purpose and Scope Entry level Calibration Technician to assist in performing general calibrations, repair of test and measurement equipment to include Force, Linear, Electronics, Torque, Pressure, Temperature and Weight.
Rolls and Responsibilities Performs periodic testing and calibration of dimensional, mechanical, electronic, electromechanical, force, torque, linear, pressure, temperature measuring instruments conforming to set standards.
Working from written instructions and verbal information supplemented by technical job knowledge and experience.
Prepares & maintains accurate and detailed calibration records, data sheets, and contributes in the development of calibration methods and internal procedures.
Additional duties but not limited to:
Communicates with internal customers to schedule and coordinate equipment calibration.
Perform occasional onsite calibrations at supplier location.
Maintain calibration standards.
Issue and recall controlled gages and precision instruments.
Perform oil analysis.
Perform other laboratory support functions as required.
Follows all safety procedures and guidelines.
Promote Safety to all team members, Customers and Suppliers Must be able to work designed shifts to include weekends.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of calibration experience or relevant experience (i.
e.
, in electronics or, dimensional inspection) will be considered.
Must have working knowledge of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) specifications in the performance of job duties.
Must have the ability to pass a practical test.
(Upon completion of provided training) Proficient in Windows Outlook, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
Must possess basic math skills and have good reading comprehension.
High school diploma or GED.
Strong understanding of electronics.
Must be a U.
S.
citizen.
Preferred Qualifications Experience in accreditation of ISO 17025 and or ISO 10012.
Previous work experience with electronics highly desired.
Previous inspection experience.
