JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Smile and greet patients to ensure they feel welcome in our office Check patients in/out Prepare encounter forms for current/next day Verify insurance eligibility Enter authorization information in EMR Review and file e-faxes Answer phones, route calls, take accurate messages, and demonstrate proper phone etiquette Schedule new and follow up appointments Collect and document patient copay/deductible/self-pay payments Document patient conversations in EMR Observe and understand HIPAA and office policies to maintain patient confidentiality Interface with back-office personnel and physicians to assist in patient flow TO BE CONSIDERED, YOU MUST HAVE ALLOF THE FOLLOWING:
Prior medical front office experience (medical receptionist, medical front office experience and/or MAA graduate -- 1 year required) Experience answering phones (MAA graduate or 1 year experience required) Experience verifying insurance (MAA graduate or 6 months experience required) Experience with scheduling appointments for multiple providers (MAA graduate or 6 months experience required) Able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and exceptional patient service Excellent customer service, communication, and phone skills Ability to prioritize responsibilities and multi-task A great team player Computer, keyboard, and 10-key proficiency Understanding of medical terminology Basic understanding of health insurance and medical records High School diploma/GED or higher education BENEFITS We offer great benefits to all of our employees (even part time!)
