Our ophthalmology practice is looking for a Medical Receptionist to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for greeting patients, answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient records.
The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, be detail-oriented and organized, and have a working knowledge of ophthalmology terminology.
Responsibilities:
Greet and register patients in a professional manner.
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow.
Collect and verify patient information, including insurance coverage.
Answer phones and respond to inquiries from patients and other healthcare providers.
Maintain patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Collect payments and balance daily batches.
