Civil Engineer - Tucson
Position
Summary:
This position will perform civil engineering including hydrology/hydraulic analysis for various industrial, institutional, and commercial buildings and other projects as assigned.
Basic Duties:
o Collaborate as part of a multi-discipline project team for the successful completion of projects of various sizes.
o Prepare engineering computations and estimates.
o Hydrology and hydraulic analysis with hydrology report preparation and updates.
o Development of civil engineering plans an designs.
o Drafting of designs utilizing AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
o Prepare engineering design packages for agency review and approval.
o Prepare civil materials lists and work with cost estimators to establish project cost estimates.
o Analyze quotations and bids and make purchase recommendations.
o Analyze and control project costs, budgets and schedules.
o Conduct site investigations as needed.
o Coordinate with field personnel for design clarifications and solutions to issues arising during construction.
o Interface with clients as needed and document findings in report format.
o Ability to travel domestically and internationally for projects as needed.
o Available for other duties and assignments as required.
Basic Qualifications:
o A minimum of 5 years related engineering experience is required and an PE o Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
o Experience preparing and editing construction documents.
o Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Navisworks and MS Office.
o Candidate must be able to travel, domestically & internationally, to other M3 offices and project sites to provide field support for new and ongoing projects.
o Must be able to work in a project team and maintain a project schedule, be a self-starter, detailed-oriented and have exceptional organizational skills.
o Must be able to interact with clients and co-workers in a professional and respectful manner and work in a team environment sharing roles and responsibilities, with limited supervision.
o Valid passport or the ability to obtain one is required.
Qualifications:
o PE o Bilingual English / Spanish abilities o Experience with multidisciplinary design and construction projects.
