Summary:

  • The Integrated Solutions Modeling and Architecture (ISMA) directorate is composed of an energetic multi-disciplinary team of over 300 engineers working collaboratively with internal and external customers and programs to provide mission-level integrated system of system architectures, modeling & simulation of sensing & effects capabilities from seabed to space, multi-level operation analysis, and operations research.

  • We are in the front end of the business pushing the boundaries of innovation and creativity to establish next-generation mission solutions from system-level up to campaign-level.

  • As a Senior Principal System-of-Systems Integration Architect focusing on real-world integration of systems, you will be on the front lines as we trail blaze new approaches and solutions for some of our customer s most complex problems.

  • You will be working and leading teams both in Raytheon facilities and at customer sites to tackle challenging projects across diverse product teams and product areas including sensors, effectors, command & control, and more.

  • You will interact with multi-disciplinary teams across Raytheon and the government through TRL development.

  • You will participate in Offensive and Defensive Multi-Domain Operations Projects that upgrade Raytheon deployed architectures and systems for US and International customers in all theaters.

  • You will be developing processes, architecture tools, and models to improve and support rapid, efficient integration and deployment of complex systems of systems as well as leading your teams in these activities.

  • This is challenging multi-disciplinary work that knits together capabilities, know-how , and products from all Raytheon companies.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Frequent domestic and international travel to Raytheon sites, customer sites, and partner contractor sites.

  • Leading integration of both software and physical systems into systems-of-systems at customer sites, including onsite testing, verification, and characterization of integrated system performance.

  • Development of improved processes for system-of-systems integration and architecture.

  • Assess tactical utility of mission systems (RF and/or EO) and weapon systems.

  • Support strategic planning studies and analyses across air, land, maritime, space, and cyber domains over the modeling, simulation, and analysis pyramid.

  • Support trade studies, effectiveness/survivability evaluations, and comparative assessments.

  • Develop Concepts of Operations and other requirements for mission systems.

  • Interface with Government organizations to define operational doctrine.

  • Perform tasks and activities in the support of corporate wide initiatives.

  • Lead and organize technical interchange meetings.

  • Develop project plan (tasking, schedules, and budgets) for team.

  • Lead project or team with responsibility to meet project schedule and budget, and performance objectives.

  • Train and mentor team members and colleagues.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a bachelor s degree in a STEM discipline and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience.

  • Experience integrating RAM (Rolling Airframe Missile) at customer locations.

  • Experience integrating defense systems at international customer locations such as in the UAE.

  • Completed Raytheon Certified Architect Program, or currently participated in or completed training with intent to complete certification.

  • Experience with common architecture concepts, platform interfaces, and open architectures.

  • Experience in leading systems engineering and integration teams.

  • Experience in Mechanical Engineering aspects of system interfaces and interactions.

  • Experience in low and high TRL mission system architecture and integration activities (minimum missiles, platforms, RF systems, or EO systems; other systems a plus).

  • Experience in scripting and programming language familiarity required to oversee and support team and integration efforts, such as C+
    and/or analysis software such as MATLAB and/or Python.

  • Ability to obtain additional clearances.

    Active Secret or Top Secret Clearance required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Science in a STEM advanced degree preferred.

  • Modern MBSE, object-oriented design, and integration & test experience a plus.

  • Familiarity with government owned AFRL analysis tools such as AFSIM or ARGOS a plus.

  • Expertise in modeling & analysis of mission systems a plus.

  • Experience with modeling, simulation, and analysis pyramid spanning mission, engagement, and systems a plus.

  • Operational experience in Air, Land, or Naval, or Space/Orbital Warfare, requirements development, mission tactics development, weapon system employment, and U.
    S.
    military concepts of operations (CONOPS) a plus.

  • Strong technical leadership attributes necessary for leading a diverse team and interacting with program chief engineer, program manager, and customers.

Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD.
The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
