hours a week, rather than indicating full-time). If part-time, the hours must be annotated to be able to pro-rate the amount of qualified specialized experience. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS for the 0401 series:
Have successfully completed a degree in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to this position. OR Have courses equivalent to a major, as shown above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDICATION Requirements for GS-07:
To qualify for this position at the GS-7 grade level, you must possess at least one of the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement:
Experience:
Possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level, or higher, in the Federal service. Specialized experience demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform successfully the duties of a Biologist. Specialized experience is having at least 3 of the following:
performing native plant material collection activities; performing native plant propagation activities in the greenhouse/nursery setting; conducting vegetation biological surveys in remote or backcountry locations; coordinating logistics of field work activities, such as scheduling, equipment, and transportation; overseeing others in the use of biological survey data collection equipment and techniques; summarizing data for portions of reports in the form of text, graphs, and charts. You must include hours per week worked. Manual and chemical treatments to non-native plants using safe application procedures. -OR- EDUCATION:
Have successfully completed one year (18 semester hours/27 quarter hours) of graduate level education that is directly related to the position such as in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, Natural Resources Management, Botany, Chemistry, Agriculture. You must include transcripts. -OR- Meet the requirements for Superior Academic Achievement (S.A.A) I have completed all the requirements for a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and meet the requirements for S.A.A based on (1) class standing, (2) grade-point average, or (3) honor society membership as outlined in the job announcement. You must include transcripts. -OR- Have an equivalent combination - of undergraduate level education and professional experience. I have successfully completed undergraduate-level coursework leading to a bachelors or equivalent degree AND professional experience that equipped me with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience:

Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to successfully perform the duties of this position. Specialized experience is having at least 3 of the following:

Master's or equivalent graduate degree in biology or other directly related field of study or 2 years of progressively higher-level graduate education (36 semester hours, 54 quarter hours or the equivalent) leading to a master's degree in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or other related disciplines if it provided the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position to be filled. -OR- Have an equivalent combination of the specialized experience described above and the graduate-level education described above. To determine if you qualify under this combination, first determine your total qualifying experience as a percentage of the specialized experience required; then determine your education as a percentage of the graduate education required (note:
only graduate education in excess of the first year is creditable for this combination); and then add the two percentages. The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDICATION Requirements for GS-11:

Experience:
Possessat least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to successfully perform the duties of this position. Specialized experience includes performing data collection using advanced. Preparing scientific reports regarding the results of protection, mitigation, reintroduction, inventory, monitoring, and research activities. Also provides information, technical assistance, coordination, and policy development. Manual and chemical treatments to non-native plants using safe application procedures. -OR- EDUCATION:
Have successfully completed three years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a PhD or equivalent graduate degree in an accredited educational institution concentrated in a field that is directly related to the work of this position, such as in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to this position. -OR- Have an equivalent combination of such education and experience. For example, I have six months of the specialized experience equivalent to GS-09 (50 percent of the experience requirement) and 45 semester hours or 68 quarter hours of appropriate directly related graduate education (50 percent of the education requirement). The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
