Vehicle Description 1972 Chevelle Convertible.
Loaded with Factory AC, power steering, power disc brakes, power top, console with horseshoe shifter, and Bucket seats! Solid California and Tucson car that has retained all of its original body panels including floors, trunk, and rockers.
Purchased new by Theodore Glattke March 6th 1972 at ELY Chevrolet in Menlo Park, Ca.
Years later when Ted moved to Tucson Az he brought the car with him.
Years later Ted brought the car into the local GM Dealership Royal Automotive in 2001 after it had been sitting undriven for a few years.
They installed a new GM 350 Crate engine, transmission, rebuilt all the suspension and u joints , and replaced hoses, fluids, etc.
A few years later he sold the car to a local high end bodyshop owner who specialized in repairing Mercedes Benz cars.
He stripped the car down to bare metal and gave it a full professional cosmetic restoration.
Professional repaint in Sunfire Yellow using 2 stage basecoat/ Clearcoat.
Very straight panels fully sanded and buffed for a mirror finish.
Excellent Door, hood, and trunk gaps.
All of the chrome was refinished at that time and all weatherstripping was replaced with new.
A new power top was fitted with a glass rear window.
All of the interior was replaced with new reproduction parts from NPD including seat foam.
Diversified Auto upholstery installed the interior and Top.
Less than 9000 miles have been put on the car since mechanically restored in 2001 and less than 5000 miles since its cosmetic restoration was completed in 2009.
Very well sorted and excellent driving car.
A folder full of receipts and the original warranty Book and protecto plate accompany the car.
Ready to enjoy great looking and performing Chevelle convertible.
