Vehicle Description 1939 Ford Deluxe convertible that was previously part of Lyle Aklesteds Flathead Ford v8 Museum.
Restored by Lyle over 20 years ago and was owned by him from 1986 until 2021.
Restored in Red, this 39 really turns heads.
Paint is a single stage enamel and was recently fully sanded and buffed to a mirror finish.
All original Sheetmetal with the exception of some of the floor sections that were cut out and replaced with new metal pieces.
All chrome and stainless pieces were restored to show quality.
The Convertible top is high quality Canvas and in excellent condition.
The weatherstripping was replaced and the windows fit the top nicely, rarely seen in these old Fords.
Genuine Leather seat and all other interior sourced from Lebaron Bonney who were well regarded as the best in the business.
All gauges work except for the fuel but they are not very accurate unfortunately.
Still original 6 volt system and all the lights work great.
The Flathead v8 and manual 3 speed transmission were completely rebuilt by Lyle and have less than 1000 miles since rebuilt.
A heavy duty Aluminum radiator was added for extra cooling capacity.
Optioned with accessory Spider hubcaps and wide whitewall tires with Ford Script.
Gorgeous 1939 Ford, ready to enjoy.
Certainly, one of Fords most beautiful early designs.
