Vehicle Description 1962 Thunderbird Sports Roadster.
One of only 1427 produced in 1962 and fully Documented with the original Gate release showing all options and delivery to Santa Monica Ford.
Factory ordered with Power drivers and Passenger seat, power windows, power steering, power brakes, and of course the coveted Sports Roadster package which includes the Kelsey Hayes wire wheels and removable Tonneau cover over the back seating area.
This rare thunderbird was purchased out of Southern California in 1990 and shipped to Priceless Classic Motor Cars in Hallandale Florida for a complete concours restoration to original specifications.
Priceless Classic Motor cars specialize in Thunderbird restoration.
Following its comprehensive restoration the car was concours judged at a Thunderbird Club of America event and scored an amazing 290 out of possible 300 points.
Since then it has been stored in a climate controlled garage and serviced by Galpin Ford.
Accompanying the car is a binder of receipts documenting the restoration at Priceless, service at Galpin, judging sheets, original Gate release from Ford, and a letter from Ms Thunderbird Lois Eminger to the previous owner providing information about the cars history.
The car remains in outstanding show quality condition and is mechanically in excellent condition as well.
The Black Haartz Canvas convertible top fits nicely with great alignment to the power windows when up and folds snugly in the beautiful and correctly restored trunk.
Certainly one of the finest Sports Roadsters available and in the most desirable factory color combination of code J, Rangoon Red and Black interior.
Ready to enjoy.
